About the Artist

Ever since he could hold a pencil, Mylan has had an affinity for art. Working primarily with pen and ink, linocuts, and woodblock techniques, he creates striking, handcrafted designs that bring his visions to life. With an art degree and a lifelong passion for creativity, he continues to find new inspirations, from architectural art and design, master artists such as Michelangelo, and organic textures found in the natural world. When he’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find Mylan reading sci-fi/fantasy novels or hanging with his three cats, who make many appearances in his sketchbook. He created Whimsy Jack Studios as a way to share his passion for art with the world. Looking forward, Mylan is creating new designs and new products to showcase on this storefront and local arts markets.
